Fever

My poor boy having fever on Thursday 20/3 morning about 5am. When I carry him, I can feel his hands n legs are hot but at that moment I didn't think that he is having fever! Until my maid came over to my room at 7am telling me that Ellard might be having fever cos now whole body very hot.

 

 

Panicky me jump out of bed and touch. Yes he is very hot all over his body & forehead! And happened our thermometer was spoilted 1 month ago! I gave him paracetamol and informed maid to feed it every 6 hours.  About 4pm, maid called me said my mil wants us to bring Ellard to see doctor as his fever is up again in the afternoon. After work, I brought him to the clinic near our place & was given the same medicine but this time come with ibuprofen & a flu medicine. But was told ibuprofen only to be given when his fever hit 39 deg & above. We went to kiddy palace to get a new Braun thermometer too. He still very active and can play which is a good sign.That night, I set my alarm every 2 hour to check on him. His fever on & off thruout till Sat night finally recover.

 

But Sunday morning 23/3, we discover that his body having rashes all over & spread to his face as well! He is so cranky due to discomfort etc. Till late afternoon the rashes are getting more n spread a bit to his legs/ hands! We decided to have a peace of mind, and we bring him to KKH for a check in case he is having medicine allergy etc. Sun night was crowded with kids & aprents. I reached about 930pm & settled bill at 10am. About 1030pm was asked to do blood test for Ellard, wait till 12am to see doctor. Doctor explained his blood still have sight of viral & platelet is low. But doc said is not dengue. We still need to monitor him by doing blood test 2 days later! We were given rashes med/ paracetamol and nose drop for Ellard. Really heartpain to see him with all rashes on his face. Speedy recovery Ellard.
