Manicure / class / shopping at AMK

Appointment for pedi & mani at 1pm at Amk central. Seriously this package is cheap but the staffs are not professional at all! I left 3 times after today usage and I hope to get it done over soon! I went over to red tomato to survey QV & Cetaphill products for baby and I saw the sebamed promo pack they are selling at $36.50! WTF!! If I knw earlier, can get from here and my $10 watson voucher can buy Cetaphill body lotion 200ml x 2 promo pack for $30 and if less $10, I only paid $20! And with $56.5, I will have sebamed body wash & Cetaphill lotion (best of both worlds right?). Shit Shit Shit!!! Now I paying $40 for sebamed and if I gonna get Cetaphill I need pay another $30, ttl $70! Extra $13.50 can get size s diapers for baby liao :( WTF WTF WTF WTF WTF! Impulsive buy again just like FLO! I hate myself :(

Next we went to our class at 3pm with Wong Boi Boi, today she showed us process of giving birth video! Those Caucasians seem so easy to pop out a baby! Haha.. The moments their baby was out, I felt so emotional & tear rolling in my eyes! I thk I will cry in delights and pain at the same time when little Hoo is out :D Little Hoo was very active during the class, he was moving almost all the time & at last Hoo can touch & see our baby moving in my tummy after so many attempts trying to feel bb move! Next Tues will have talk seminar of taking care of baby at Singapore Chinese girl school and I'll be attending alone cos Hoo is attending Iggy's promo parade! See, now we knw his priority huh..

Bought black size L belly support from mums & babe finally but with only 12% disc using UOB ladycard! Which mean I need to pay a $31+, $5 more than Taka bb fair!!! Pissed :(  Spent money again..... and fast! Haiz.

Most satisfying dinner done by mil & Suyie this evening with fresh fish got from Hoo at NTUC..   And finally have the awful liver fried with black vinegar too. Oh yes, plus durian from 717 trading on Hoo as he won soccer bet :)

Eyebrow embroidery

Meeting Sally after work to my sis in law ~ Yuki's office for our eyebrow embroidery! Her beauty office MIYU Cosmeceutical International located at Ubi Texhpark, lobby A, #01-03, Singapore 408564. Tel: 67495883.

All products were in place,  neat & tidy! There's 2 last minute customers before us doing manicure/ pedicure & eyebrow embroidery too! We waited till 930pm for our turn. Well, nice eyebrow shape that I got as usual, given Yuki's skill :)  And she gave big discount / cost price for my friend which is much appreciated!

Right now, waiting patiently for my dark black eyebrow to fade to dark brown colour, which take 4-5 days at least.

Turquoise gel nails

See, how nice my sis in law is for during my 2nd set of gelish with my favourite turquoise colour! I really love this colour very much.. Swee !!

 

New extension gel nails

Almost 2 months after my gel extension nails done in Shenzhen. I decided to have a change of nails style since it has grew longer and that create some discomfort to some of my daily works! My sis in law ~ Yuki helps to remove my previous & re-do a new pattern which I chose from her nails book. This time round, I choose transparent base with flowers drew on it! So that when my nails grow longer, it will not be so obvious & ugly (half coloured/half nude)!

The removing part is damn painful. It was burning hot as need to use a electric "screw" kind of thing to remove the hard gel from my nails! Due to the previous manicurist has applied thick gels on my nails, which that actually caused it diffuclt to be removed!

Indeed it was time consuming doing these gels nails but the result was satisfying! It was beautifully done up & lasting! At least for the next 2 months till it grows longer again! She's quite patient I can said.. By doing my nails alone with 3 hrs ++.. (8pm to 1130pm) Gosh! I've alr sit until backache lor. haha

Last Sunday, Nex's Guardian Pharmacy is having road show for Shills products from 女人我最大. 林叶亭 Judy Lin (renowned celebrity fashion & beauty stylist) was here to demostrate hairdo & slimming products for the audiences.

As usual, I bought 2 sets of products ~ 1 slimming sets (1 box of hot pad, 01 slimming bottle of lotion & 1 roller) at about S$70 & 1 face products set (1 gel mask, 1 Anti-Dark Spot Whitening Serum , 1 EX Whitening and Brightening Cream and 1 - 2 in 1 foundation spf 42) at S$80+. 1 more box of slimming hot  pad for Hoo at S$24. Have been very hardworking these few days to apply all those on my body & face! So let see any results end of the day ba :)

Re-colour of hair!

Pissed with my black hair colour which the auntie hair stylist from Snip Avenue (AMK) did for me last Sun! I called Shawn -another stylist from that salon to redo my hair colour tonight!! And of cos it's FOC! This was the most unsatisfied hairdo I ever done in my life! Not used to use my black hair after so many years of colour! Dare not take pictures too! And the fringe cut was sucked too! Yuckie! Not what I want in that pic of Ding Dang's hairstyle! Hopefully after tonight, my hair will be "swee dang dang" !

Hairdo & karaoke ~ Sunday

After my acupuncture yesterday morning, I went to meet Yvonne near her place (AMK Ave 6) for hairdo as she said the price is cheap for cut/colour & reborn etc.. So ok lor, I cancelled my appointment with Mags Hair Studio and go to the one she said good and it was actually Snip Avenue lor!

Anyway I don't like the "auntie" stylist that attended to me! I told her I want the hair colour & hair cut of Ding Dang, even show her the picture and ended up the colour turned so black & I look so Egyptian!! Hairdo also ugly! Pissed! I told another stylist who did Yvonne's hair that if this week the colour still so dark after wash, I'll go back for re-colour. And he said ok and is FOC if within 7 days! Of cos I know lah! Most of the salon did that except for hair cut lor! Angry!!!

Next, we have nothing to do, so decided to go to Shirley's place for drinks & ktv. Yvonne loves the cosy decoration of her place so much & also the smoked duck shirley brought from Sheng Shong! It was indeed yummy with red wine! But for me I go with ice lemon tea :) Left her place abt 12am this morning.. Hoo watapp me on my way home, n talk on the phone later till 2am! Lucky boss not in today & I finished my works by 11am! Now R & R.. Wait for next urgent stuff if there's any!

Acupunture

This evening I went for my acupuncture session at Ma Guang (Nex). 郑医师   was off duty today, so 杨医师 attends to me. She is more gentle and focus only on the acupoints that work best for me as what she claimed. This is the 1st time my hands & thigh was free from needles! And I don't feel as pain as previous sessions! Hahaha. But still wondering, will it be more effective only a few needles on me? Or 郑医师 is better cos she pricks from head to toes! My concept is the more needles it is, the more effective it will be! Maybe I was wrong. Well, I think shall see the results in later part to know..

Red Tomatoes @ AMK Central

Would like to blog this beauty shop - Red Tomatoes Beauty Shop located at Blk 720 AMK Central! The shop previously was next to Maybank and has shifted to this new location few years back. Well, maybe alot of people knew abt them. They are selling almost all kind of beauty products/ perfumes at much cheaper price. So far, I've been frequent them for years. The shop is small buy yet u'll still able to get most of your daily products there. Take a trip down if u did pass by, I'm sure u will definitely get a few items home :)

Next, I would like to recommend this Korean brand (OPUS) liquid base foundation. Initially, I was looking at Maybelline new mineral liquid foundation but got involve in  some "sales talk" by one of the sales girl working in Red Tomatoes! And yes, I bought this at about S$30 slightly more exp then Maybelline's. No matter how good the sales girl describe, I still think u need to try it yourself to know the result!

I was quite impressed on my 1st try. As what the sales girl claimed, It indeed grease-free after applied on face and u don't need to tap loose powder over it etc. U can just leave it like that & continue with your the rest of your make up etc.. Or u may just use it as sun block (SPF 25) + base as normal application. It looks just as natural. But of cos u need to get the right colour as your skin tone lah. My suggestion is get a foundation/concealer brush to have the foundation spread evenly onto your face for better result. I saw one 2 in 1 foundation brush at Sasa or u can also find that in Watson. Pricing quite reasonable too:)

Today, my 2nd use of this product.  I went to buy soft drink at this coffee shop opposite Ubi-Biz hub. The auntie serving me is asking me whether I work nearby? I replied No. She followed by your 皮肤很美! Wow..  My 1st thought was the wonder of my foundation!! Yeah.. Worth the price :) Although my skin is not that perfect but at least this foundation make my skin looks flawless.

LV Petit noe sold, Ma Guang, Viola Concept & The Ship restaurant

Finally after 1 week of bringing my LV petit noe to & fro, from work, I meet up with buyer 3 - Karen to close the deal this afternoon @ S$300 for that bag! And Hoo wants me to treat him dinner at The Ship Restaurant & bar - Nex. I agreed to that.

We went to Henry's son - Lucas baby shower. Having buffet at his block void deck. We stayed for an hour and move on to Nex. Bought a turquoise (my fav color) cheongsam from Viola Concept Boutiqe #01-27 at S$79! Actually I also like purple & red. But red abit too loud, can only wear in CNY.. Haha. As for the other colours, we can still wear on people's wedding dinner or so.. Somemore the price is not very cheap also, if 1 piece cost $50 then I will straight away get 2d piece on the spot liao .. LOL

Next, I went to MKB Ma Guang to have my last acupuncture done from my previous package. They are having promo now in the newly open outlet! For slimming acupuncture package of 10+1, 1 trial, 1 tummy slimming cream & 1 packet of face masks (3 pcs) at the price of S$550 without GST + I've S$50 voucher to offset too! My last package was with GST lor :( I did see the results on last 9 sessions with them. Hence I decided to take up the package again in order to have more "slim" figure to fit into wedding gowns!! Which fitting is in Feb! Gosh, must jiayou cos I've putted on 1 kg since last mth! CNY coming soon, worst! Lot of nice goodies to go into my stomach!

And Yes, that gone my sales of S$300  and I have to fork out extra $$ + a S$116 dinner at The Ship Restaurant & bar. Total I spent today abt S$800! Haiz.. $$ come not easy & yet go so fast:)

Of cos having 88 eye shadow colours, I should have more brushes to go with it! Hence, I gott this S$14.20 Suki 12 pieces brush set at Sasa (Vivo City) this afternoon. Cheap right? The sales gal claimed that was Japan brand & 不会掉毛！I shall see whether the 毛 will all stuck on my face not. Hahaha

Shopping on New Year Eve

Going to get some blush set from Sephora at Ngee Ann City. We parked our car at Cairnhill carpark, and I wanted to take a quick look of Gucci & Prada bags at Paragon. There's end year sales almost everywhere & we grab some clothes from Guess boutique at 50%, an additional of 15% off for 3 items & above :)

Next we went for duck rice at Lucky Plaza at level 2 which Hoo said he used to frequent there when he was young! The shop has expanded and quite crowded. Cocktail Jelly was not recommended cos not much fruits!

Finally I went to Sephora. Oh gosh, so many beauty products & see until eyes blur! Too bad I did not get anythings from there, cos too exp! Haha. Went Watsons at nextdoor, I think this is the biggest Watsons store so far.. Eyes blur again! So much stuffs .. Storewide 20%, so angry cos I just got one purple eyeliner from Maybelline & a double intense gel brown eyeliner from Silky girl last week without discount! As usual, I'll definitely grab Elastin Collagen capsules from 21st Century, but this time I also get a Japan brand water base eye & face makeup remover too! It's really cleanse off your makeup well, and this is my 2nd bottle. Bought 6 bottles of nail polish from Sasa Wisma at "buy 1 get  1 free". Total cost S$12.  Also a white crayon eye liner & nude colour lipstick from The Faceshop at Wisma.

Before retrieving our car, we went Marc Jacobs at Mandarin Gallery which Val said got nice bags which I don't find any I like.. Today I spent so much $$ on beauty products, yet Hoo is more on clothings! Haiz..

Last but not least, Hoo wanna get his Nike soccer boot from "The premium soccer shop" Weston Corporation @ Queensway. As usual, extra disc this regular customer Hoo! Not forgetting my chili fish balls again :)

2nd attempt for curly hair

 Last nite, my 2nd attempt for natural curly hair again.. Unsatisfying result from 1st attempt, so decided to give another try. This time I did not twist so much & also not tightly bun up which made me sleep better than 1st try! Result is good. At least more curl this time :)

Bottom Slim at Nex

Saw an ads on Today paper this morning. S$138 nett of 10+7 slimming sessions from Bottom Slim! Wow.. tempting right? Well, I made an appointment & went down to Nex at 630pm. Annie the consultant attended to me. 1st she introduced me to the promo package, then move on to more intensive + exp packages! Cheaper from S$538 to S$1300++. Gosh, same techniques from other beauty parlours. Expected this will happen anyway! But I stayed firm by saying NO this time. She keeps on persuading me into it. In the end, I used a lame excuse that my mum is waiting for me to have dinner at one of the food joint! She still keeps on trying till I said I gonna go now! I didn't even sign up the S$138 nett! Save the $$.. Hahaha.

I've better try out the aerobic class since I've already enrolled. Looking forward to the class in Jan 2011. Let me reduce another 2~3 kgs 吧!!

Continue from natural curly hair

Here it goes, continued from my previous post "Natural Curly Hair". 

Hmmm.. actually I don't know it's effective or not? As I have permed hair so doesn't look any differences, cos it still wavely.. hahaha. But after I removed the scrunchies this morning. My hairs look like "Lion Head" and was so fluffy! I've to let it settle down for awhile before it's back to normal shape :) But one thing for sure, it was so uncomfortable sleeping with 2 buns on my head!  I can feel the pulling of my hairs when I shift my sleeping position!

Natural Curly hair

After my facial this evening, I went to buy 2 scrunchies &one black Sheene's "wow" black liquid eyeliner (popular in Thailand as claimed) from Sinma Fashion accessories at AMK Central . I've got one silver glittering liquid eyeliner from Sheene at Orchard Central some time back. The outcome was not good, after applied was like lumpy lumpy layer stick on my eyelid! But this time, I will like to try the so called "WoW" black eyeliner as it looks thick & smooth when I tried it on my hand.  It's waterproof & longer stay functions that make your eyes look sharp & beautiful all day long wor! It also stated with Chamomile extract in it will help your eyes look moist & not to irritate for eye skin. Aiya, just give ppl another chance lor! Haha..I  also bought one Ponytail tie hair thingy from Jean Accessories at AMK hub, this thing is use for french bun etc..!

Those accessories shops which I used to call them "Ah Lian"shop during my school times, as lot of teenagers like to frequent them. During my times, those gals are with "curry puff"kind of hairstyles etc.. Hahaha. Mine is mini curry pok!! lol.. Unlike now, there is more high end accessories shop like  ACCESSORIZE, HELEN & DIVA etc..

The use of my 2 dark brown & purple scrunchies are use to try out the curling of hair blogged by XiaXue! No need to use tong as that will damage our hairs if for long terms use. Now my head have 2 little heavy buns on it & I hope the result will be satisfaction tomorrow morning!  Shall update tomorrow morning! LOL

Facial @ Statice

This evening was my 9th facial with Statice @ AMK Central. Hui Hui really delivered her word of not promoting any new packages to me these few months!

Back tracks abit.. I've been patronizing Beauty Esthetic, which also in AMK central ever since I started off flying which that was a decade back! They are using Dermalogica products, but was exp. I used to get it from States then. The products seem to work well on my skin. After many years using the same range of skin cares, it was not as effective as before. People use to say, must change new skin cares after 1-2 yrs into it. Somemore, the lady boss is very enthusiasm of selling her products & packages. Therefore, I decided to have a change!

One fine day, I saw Statice by Chen Hui Hui after our dinner with Yvonne & decided to walk in. She offered us an attractive package of $600 of 15 times, which each session only cost S$40! Grab it of cos! Happily I go for my 1st facial the following month. After my 2nd face wash, I casually comment to my beautician that my skin was abit tanned etc.. Soon after I'm out of the room, I was "persuade" by Hui Hui to change to another more "suitable for me" whitening package! Yes, top up $$ & my new 10 sessions package about S$1200. All thanks to that beautician of being busybody!! After 3 sessions & I dun really like it as this don't come with machine treatment! I felt it's not worth my $$. Hence, "helpful" beautician again, relay my feedback to Hui Hui, and this time I was convinced to "upgrade" to another type of 10 sessions package which use machine! Oxylite, and indeed it was good & I have to up my cost to abt S$1700 this time! Again, after my 2nd sessions with them. One of the consultant asked me to get a 40 + 4 (which I negotiate lah) sessions package with much more higher $$! And after calculation, it will be cheaper than previous which cost abt S$150/ sessions! Of cos I have to consider as the price is abt 5k!! On my next visit, here comes our Hui Hui 姐!! And yes, I was "conned" into signing up the package! I was pissed as well, I told Hui Hui don't ever recommend me any more packages till the last few facial of my 44 times package!! Every 2-3 face wash of the packages, I got persuaded for upgrading to another one! Damn irritating OK! Although I was into it for many years, doesn't mean I can just splurge more $$ for that! End of day, I still got a black VIP card of chosen nos 0068! Frankly speaking, who will bother to use the card of 20% on certain facial treatments when u have already got your 44 times to wash your face? Why waste extra $$ to buy those 1 time treatment or voucher?
